Chiaki Kuriyama goes geek for “Kamogawa Horumo”

Way back in April we ran a story about “Densha Otoko” star Takayuki Yamada taking the lead role in the upcoming film “Kamogawa Horumo”. Based on the book by Manabu Makime it will have Yamada starring as Akira Abe, a nerdy freshman at Kyoto University who gets caught up in a supernatural club in which students do battle with each other using spirits called shikigami.

Well, now we have this above pic of Chiaki Kuriyama (That’s her on the left! Duh!) who will co-star in the film, playing Fumi, another student in the club. Looks to me like she’s kept her hair style from her other upcoming film ”GS Wonderland. Actually, Kuriyama’s character in the film(and book) is nicknamed “Bon-chan” after Japanese comedian Bondo Ōki (the lovely looking fella on the right).

I have to admit I was sleeping at the wheel on this bit of news, because Tokyograph had the details of this back in May, but I hadn’t seen this pic posted on any of the English language blogs, so here it is!
