When I was in Nippon Connection I got to witness the dapper mod madness that is Adam Torel, the Managing Director of the UK's Third Window Films. He's a very fun guy and someone who's anxious to spread Japanese and Asian cinema throughout the British Isles. He mentioned a theatrical run for Daihachi Yoshida's 2007 black comedy "Funuke, Show Me Some Love, You Losers!", but it wasn't until I got back to Toronto that he sent full details on it.
If you live in the London area then make sure to check out "Funuke", the story of three sublings who battle it out after their parents die in a car accident, at the Institute for Contemporary Arts between May 1st and May 10th. For full ticket details and showtimes check out the ICA's website here.
